The Bully

The Washington Post published a story where Mitt Romney’s classmates recall a string of incidents perpetrated by Romney that would be classified as incidents of bullying. One incident in particular was mentioned wherein Romney was the guy holding the scissors when the group he was with chased down a young man, and despite his desperate screams for help, hacked off his long blonde hair.

Romney appeared on the Fox News channel and issued a rather weak apology, much of which appeared to suggest that “boys will be boys”, and that he failed to remember any of these incidents.

I was bullied as a child, and I can guarantee you that if you round-up a hundred adults today, who were bullied as children, you will find that every one of those hundred adults will be able to describe in minute detail nearly every incident of bullying that they suffered. It is not something you forget easily, and if those hundred adults you find are honest enough, they will admit that the bullying they underwent as children has affected their adult life in some negative manner.

That Mitt Romney can’t recall any such incidents is just another indication that the man is nothing but a rich prep school kid who cares nothing about anyone but himself, and now he’s all grown up and has a lot more money to not care about people with.

I’m not even sure why he wants to be President. It has to be the power. The ego trip. And that is probably the last person in the world who should be elected – a person who wants the title of President of the United States merely so he can add it to his pile of trophies.

There is not a week goes by that you don’t hear of a teen, or even a pre-teen who hangs himself in his closet, or shoots himself in the head with Dad’s gun because the bullying has become so painful that it just cannot be tolerated any more.

Mitt Romney, and people like him, deserve no place of honor in our society. The last thing on earth that we should give him is the office of the President. How big of a bully can you be when you have the worlds biggest military at your command? Well, for a partial answer, look back over your shoulder and remember what happened when the Bush family got pissed off at Sadaam Hussein.
